Project Details
VPC was afforded the opportunity to work with owners and designers of Chetola to renovate the third floor of this gorgeous resort. Located in the idyllic town of Blowing Rock, this remodel included 16 bedrooms, the entire 3rd-floor corridor, and an elevator lobby. Various interior finishes were upgraded and transformed including expansive murals that capture local and scenic landscapes. The team worked with Chetola to accomplish their vision of a mountain modern and rustic one-level renovation.
Luxury Detail
Each bedroom had commercial carpet tile installed that achieved both aesthetics and durability. VPC updated the window valances with poplar bark and framed the mural with barn wood. The living space attached to the bedrooms features a barn wood accent wall comprised of different wood types that include birch, oak, and hickory all of which have different widths and thicknesses.
In the hallways, new lights were installed with wood sconces as well as birch bark accented wallpaper. Birch logs were placed for wall corner treatments and barn wood chair rail fastened. Commercial carpet tile was installed, and a fresh coat of paint was applied to the ceilings. Lastly, the elevator lobby also received a new mural, new commercial flooring, and poplar bark valances on the windows.
